Earning the ‘keur’ predicate from the KWPN, Grand Prix stallion Baltic now belongs to the new generation of proven stallions. Baltic is a son of the, prematurely deceased, Grand Prix jumper Quaprice. The ‘Keur’ stallion Jus de Pomme (double Gold winner at the Atlanta Olympics) is sire to many Grand Prix jumpers. The line then continues with the proven sires Wellington, Orthos, Joost and Rigoletto. Baltic’s dam is the ‘Ster, Preferent and Prestatie’ mare Nellandra. Nellandra is a full sister to the Grand Prix jumper Mellandra. Baltic is the full brother of Ben Maher’s Grand Prix Don Vito and related to top jumpers like Cuplandra, Wilandro, Winning Good, et cetera who descend from the same dam line. As a 3-year old, Baltic was the KWPN Stallion Testing Champion. As a 7-year old, Baltic finished 6th in the Dutch Championships (VION Cup) and 3rd in the KWPN Stallion Competition. Under both James Billington and Jur Vrieling, Baltic took several winning ribbons and collected more than 25 international top five placings.
