The sire of Sugar Rey is the french horse Look de Star (born from Cocktail Jet, champion of Amerique and then famous breeding stallion) already marked as a rising star, he confirmed that winning the Criterium Des Jeunes and the Prix Paul Karl. In Italy, beside Sugar Rey, he gave us another champion, named Sceicco 1.10.8 (winning the Gran Criterium, Allevatori, Città di Napoli, Marangoni, and with a third place in the Derby won by Sugar Rey). In France, Look de Star has many offspring like Ustinof du Vivier 1.09.8 (winning the Prix Kerjacques, de la Haye, Prix de la Marne, Prix de l’Union Europeenne twice), Roc Meslois 1.10.5 (Criteriun des 5 ans).
