Preliminary visit of the mare: insemination with frozen or fresh semen; ultrasound monitoring post ovulation; eventual treatment post insemination; report of pregnancy.
Managment broodmares with problems of hypofertility: the brood mare found to be not pregnant may be submitted to, at owner's discretion, a in-depth examination to exclude any pathology related to reproductive sphere that will block an establishment of pregnancy.
- Pension of Broodmares and Foals in the field
For the owners into a need,AAFVG has available fields for broodmares and foals. This service is active since 2010, fields with box or shed available for the horse to rest and eat.
- Birth assistance and Neonatology
AAFVG gives 4 birthing room equipped with cameras, in which the mares will be monitored with the 'Birth control' radar.
To complete the service will be done controls of concentration of Ca++ present in the secreted mammary (Foal Watch Test).
After giving birth will take place the following checks: complete vet check of the mare, gynecological visit included; evaluation of the quality of maternal colostrum; macroscopical evaluation of the placenta; dewarming of the mare after giving birth; complete vet checkof the foal; cure and desinfection of navel; mesurament of antibodies of the foal at 24h alive; subministratiion of enemas at the foal for less risk of retention of meconium; prevention test of neonatal isoerythrolysis.
